Red Delicious
This variety was discovered in the USA and is distinguished by medium to large size and the conical shape of the fruit. The peel is firm, smooth, slightly oily, yellow-green, covered with red, sometimes with faint striations on more than half of the apple. The flesh is soft and juicy, white to yellowish-green, crisp and sweet. Period favorable harvest is considered to be the end of September. The fruit can be kept between 140 and 160 days. Variety is appreciated, especially for fresh consumption.
