Jonagold
This variety was discovered by Henry Coster in Belgium. The fruit is characterized by its conical shape and large size. It has a slightly rough husk, yellow-green, covered with red apple streaked almost everywhere, and the flesh is white to cream or pale yellow, fine, juicy, crisp, sweet and slightly acidic.It is recommended to harvest in late September to early October. In chillers this variety can be kept between 160-200 days and is appreciated for both fresh consumption and for industrial use.
