Granny Smith
This variety comes from Australia and was discovered by Anna Maria Smith. The apple is medium size and has a spherical shape, slightly elongated. The peel is strong, smooth, slightly greasy and green. The flesh is firm, crisp, juicy greenish-white to cream-green with a sour taste.
Recommended period for harvesting is early October. The fruit may be stored, according to the refrigeration rooms, from 200 to over 240 days. Variety is appreciated, especially for fresh consumption.
